You love reading?

Here’s a chance to earn READING MILES for yourself and your class by reading your way around the world!

The top class of 6eme, 5eme and 4eme will get a CLASS PIZZA PARTY! Individual tombola prizes will include FNAC coupons, etc. The tombola will be held in the library during the Literary Festival week, May 26 – 30, 2008.

How it works:

• Every student will receive a personal Reading Passport in homeroom ;
• You must register to participate in the library by signing a contract promising to be honest about what you’ve read and written, and donating 1 euro to the Niapele Project (humanitarian project started by an EABJM alumni)  http://www.theniapeleproject.org/
• Starting MONDAY, FEBRUARY 18th, go to the EABJM library and check out any fiction book in French or English that you have never read before ;
• Once you’ve read the book, go to the library section of the eabjm.org site, and download the Read-Around-the-World Challenge reading log sheet (Word document). Carefully fill out your report, in French or in English, and email it to library@eabjm.net starting Monday, March 10, 2008.
• The librarians will validate your report and post it on the new reading challenge blog: www.eabjmlecturereading.blogspot.com (your identity will not be published). Each reading report successfully completed will earn you a tombola ticket for a chance to win an individual prize.  Each report you do will earn your class 1000 Reading miles;
• Everyday at lunch hour, you can have your Reading passport stamped at the Passport Desk in the library ;
• Every week the class totals will be tallied up, and the results posted on the library windows. The first class of each level to earn enough reading miles to make it around the world will win a class PIZZA PARTY!
