Registering on EABJM Village
Hopefully you have recieved one of the 7000 fliers we sent out containing your unique pin code and can now register using the instructions below. If not simply follow the 2nd set of instructions below.
I've recieved a letter with my unique pin number.
What do I do? |
- Click here to access the site
- Do not put in a username or password, simply click the link “New, never registered”
- Where prompted, complete the questions that will allow us to authenticate your registration. When asked for your pin number, enter the number appearing in the top right hand corner of your letter.
- Where prompted enter a valid current email address that we can use to notify you of your username and password
- When you have completed steps 1 to 4, press the UPDATE button. IMPORTANT! You will see a “thank you” display at the end of this process. If you do not see this, please repeat steps 1 to 4 again
- EABJM will now authenticate your identity and grant system access. Those who successfully register will receive an email containing their username and password and can begin using the system. NB: You will not be able to log on until we have authorised your registration. This is to ensure the security of our members.
- Make sure you have read and understood the terms and conditions of use .
- We will send you an email when we have authorised your registration. This could take between one hour and 5 days. If after this time you still haven't recieved an email, please contact us t.prevot@eabjm.net.

| I just graduated, what now? |
Current students of EABJM have already got access to EABJM Village for the purposes of school email. Upon graduating you will automatically become full members of EABJM-Village and be able to access the full range of functions that you couldn't previously.
If you are not automatically upgraded, please contact t.prevot@eabjm.net. Make sure to keep your details up to date so you can keep in contact with your classmates and the school. |

Security and Data Protection
We take your security and privacy seriously. Please read the following points so that you are aware of how your details will be used and of the precautions we have taken on your behalf. Upon registering you will also be accepting our terms and conditions so please read them carefully.
1. To keep your details secure and protect your privacy:
- You will get a unique username and password.
- EABJM Village incorporates Abattia's ground-breaking data privacy technology, the Consensus Wrapper (patent pending). The Consensus Wrapper enables us to offer you a secure service according to your preferences for the disclosure and use of your personal data, while allowing us to comply with privacy regulations.
- The system will protect your rights over the data it holds about you. You will be able to control what data is held on the system, and whether this data is visible to other users. The webALUMNUS system will ensure that we handle your personal data in the way that you specify.
- webALUMNUS keeps track of how, and by whom, it is used. When signing on for the first time, all users must agree to clearly stated terms of use, which are monitored and strictly enforced.
- The system will operate from dedicated servers protected by an industry-strength firewall, which will be monitored continuously. Your data will not be lost as a regular backup regime will be in place.
- The EABJM Village data server is lodged in a secure, fireproofed and security guarded installation.
2. Our Promise:
The information we keep is never sold or passed on by us to commercial third parties for purposes unconnected with the EABJM; it is only used by us, or by third parties on our behalf and under our direction, for purposes related to EABJM and the Association des Anciens Elévès. These purposes include: Allowing you and us to keep abreast of where EABJM Alumni are and what they are doing. Administering the Association des Anciens Elévès and keeping in touch with you. Supporting the activities of the EABJM.
3. Our starting point:
Initially, where we have a contact address for an EABJM Alum, and any basic information about their time at school or what they have done since, this will be visible to all registered, on-line members of this closed web-community unless you have previously indicated to us that you did not wish any information we hold about you to be shared with other members. To the extent that we hold contact telephone numbers for you, you will be able to see these, but they will initially be withheld from others' view. You will be able to alter this if you wish. By registering, you will be able to add to, or alter, this information as necessary, or make changes to its visibility to other members if you wish.
