Welcome to the Admissions homepage!

There are three distinct admissions procedures for EABJM Lille according to the age and schooling background of the applicant. If you have any doubt as to which procedure applies, consult the grade equivalency chart below. Also note that there is a separate procedure for non-French speaking students and IB programs applicants.

Presentations of the School in both English and French by Mr Francis Gianni are scheduled throughout the year. You can register for one of those dates by e-mail s.deblandere@eabjm.net or by phoning 03 20 65 90 50.

The non-refundable application fee is €40 for an online application or €65 for a paper application. In either case, the completed application form (unless online) and the required documents should be sent by post mail only to:

Grande Section (Kindergarten) - CP (First Grade)


Children should, in principle, be 5 years old by December 31 for Kindergarten(Grande Section) and 6 for 1st grade(CP)

Application checklist for all applicants :

  • A completed application form, by mail or online
  • A non-refundable application fee of 65€ for mail applications or 40€ for online applications
  • Three passport photos
  • Copy of the applicant's birth certificate
  • Any available school reports must be sent in as soon is possible
  • A letter of recommendation for the parents (written by family, friends or professional relations)
  • If the parents are divorced, an authorization signed by both to enroll the child at EABJM

 Additional material for children who are schooled in France  :

  • An evaluation by a speech therapist (orthophoniste) to determine if an early bilingual education is appropriate

 Additional material for children who are not schooled in France :

  • WPPSI, ERB or an equivalent age-appropriate evaluation, according to availability in your country, which may be taken in the language of your choice.
Application deadlines: January 31. Deadlines are waived for non-residents planning to move to Lille. Although it is the school's policy to reserve spaces for such cases, the number of available spaces is limited and we urge parents to apply as early as possible.

Admission Procedure

  • Shool presentation. Presentations of EABJM, followed by a Q&A session, take place each month. Dates are available on our Web site. We require that parents attend a school presentation. Please confirm your presence at one of these presentations by e-mail : s.deblandere@eabjm.net
  • Meeting parents. An appointment is scheduled with a member of the school Direction. We request that both parents come to this meeting, which lasts approximately 30 minutes.
  • Meeting your child. Children living in France are invited in groups of 10 to spend approximately one hour with one of the Heads of Primary School. This meeting will take place on a wednesday morning. 

Notification
The Admissions Committee examines applications in late March and families are notified by April 30.


French-speaking applicants to CE1 through 4ème (2nd grade through 8th grade)


For French-speaking applicants to grades 2 through 8 (CE1-quatrième)

Grade-appropriate English proficiency is an admission prerequisite, except for admission to the 6th grade (6ème) for which a few spaces are available for highly motivated students with little background in English

Application checklist for all applicants :

  • A completed application form, by mail or online
  • A non-refundable application fee of €65 for mail applications or €40 for online applications
  • Three passport photos
  • Copy of the applicant's birth certificate
  • School transcripts for the two previous years and current year reports as soon as available
  • A letter of recommendation for the parents (written by family, friends or professional relations)
  • If the parents are divorced, an authorization signed by both to enroll the child at EABJM

Additional material for applicants attending a Private Shool in France, or who live abroad :

  • An independent evaluation is required : WISC IV, ERB/ISEE, SSAT, French « Evaluations Nationales », or equivalent age-appropriate evaluation, according to availability in your country. The evaluation may be taken in the language of your choice.
  • A letter of recommendation for the applicant (written by the school principal or a current teacher)
Application deadlines: January 15 for 6th grade applicants (6ème) and March 15 for all other grades. Deadlines are waived for non-residents planning to move to Lille. Although it is the school's policy to reserve spaces for such cases, the number of available spaces is limited and we urge parents to apply as early as possible.

French-speaking candidates to grades 9 through 12 (troisième à la terminale)


For French-speaking applicants to grades 9 through 12 (troisième-terminale)

Application checklist :

  • A completed application form, by mail or online
  • A non-refundable application fee of €65 for mail applications or €40 for online applications
  • Three passport photos
  • Copy of the applicant's birth certificate
  • School transcripts for the two previous years and current year reports as soon as available
  • For the applicants to 9th grade and above, a personal essay written by the applicant stating his/her reasons for applying to EABJM
  • A letter of recommendation for the parents (written by family, friends or professional relations)
  • If the parents are divorced, an authorization signed by both to enroll the child at EABJM

Additional material for applicants who are attending a Private Shool in France and for applicants living abroad who are not attending a French School :

  • An independent evaluation is required : WISC IV, ERB/ISEE, SSAT, or equivalent age-appopriate evaluation, according to availability in your country. The evaluation may be taken in the language of your choice.
  • A letter of recommendation for the applicant (written by the school principal or a current teacher)

Non French-speaking applicants & IB Program applicants

For non French-speaking applicants & International Baccalaureate 10th, 11th and 12th grade applicants

A solid English proficiency is an admission prerequisite for the 10th , 11th and 12th grade of the Intenational Baccalaureat degree program

Application checklist :

  •  A completed application form, by mail or online
  • A non-refundable application fee of €65 for mail applications or €40 for online applications
  • Three passport photos
  • Copy of the applicant's birth certificate
  • School transcripts for the two previous years and current year reports as soon as available
  • An independent evaluation is required for all applicants: WISC IV, ERB/ISEE, SSAT, or equivalent age-appropriate evaluation, according to availability in your country. The evaluation may be taken in the language of your choice.
  • Two letters of recommendation for the applicant (written by the school principal or a current teacher)
  • Two letters of recommendation for the parents (written by family, friends or professional relations)
  • For the applicants to 9th grade and above, a personal essay written by the applicant stating his/her reasons for applying to EABJM
  • If the parents are divorced, an authorization signed by both to enroll the child at EABJM

Notification
The Admissions Committee reviews applications to non French-speaking and the International Baccalaureate classes on a rolling basis and families are notified shortly after such review.
